Erik Kocjan

Since September 2024, our club has had the incredible fortune of welcoming Erik Kocjan as our official team coach. Erik is not only the namesake of our club, but also its heartbeat, a highly experienced and passionate skydiver who brings a unique mix of professionalism, energy, and humility to everything he does. With over 8,000 jumps to his name, he holds multiple instructor ratings: AFF Instructor, Tandem Instructor, and Tunnel Coach. His skydiving expertise ranges across every imaginable discipline, from air to tunnel, from coaching to competition. He's a multi-year national freestyle champion in Slovenia and a core part of the ProstiPad.si team. Beyond skydiving, Erik is a man of balance. A lover of cats, the gym, his family life, and unapologetically “boomer” humor, he thrives in high-adrenaline environments as long as the vibe stays relaxed. He openly dislikes scuba diving and hiking, but vows to skydive until he runs out of money. Luckily, he's been doing this since he was 18, so even if the money runs out, the jumps won't. Erik is not only a phenomenal athlete but a great friend. His passion, dedication, and straightforward approach have already made a huge impact on our club, and we are beyond proud to have him coaching the next generation of AirIK skydivers. ~Ivona Marenic
