Just before Christmas, on December 22nd, 2024, almost like an early holiday gift, we received incredible news: after three months of paperwork and formalities, AirIK officially became an affiliate member of the Croatian Aeronautical Federation (HZS).

This was a huge moment for us, not just a formality, but a true recognition. It meant that our young and ambitious club had been acknowledged by the national governing body for aviation sports in Croatia, joining the same organization that oversees national teams, competitions, and the country’s participation under the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale).

Becoming part of HZS gave us the ability to submit requests for FAI sport licenses for our Croatian members, a crucial step for any athlete or team aiming to compete internationally and grow within the sport. But even more importantly, it marked our official entry into the wider aviation and skydiving community of Croatia.

For a club as young as ours, founded by enthusiasts who only recently took their first jumps, this achievement is nearly unprecedented. It’s rare for such a new and youthful group to earn formal recognition at this level so quickly, and it stands as proof of our dedication, organization, and shared passion for skydiving.

From that day forward, our real work began. With our membership in place, we started preparing for upcoming events, camps, and competitions in 2025. The journey ahead is full of challenges, but also excitement. Because now, we’re not just a group of friends who love to jump, we’re an officially recognized skydiving club, representing the next generation of regional skydivers.
